Captain Cluck

Privacy Policy

The short version: Captain Cluck collects nothing about you. Nothing at all.

Last updated: 29 July 2026

The short version: the app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your game progress is saved on your own device. On iPhone and iPad it can optionally sync through your own iCloud account, and that is the only thing the app ever sends anywhere. We never see any of it.

1. Who this covers

This policy covers the Captain Cluck game on phones and tablets, and the website at captaincluck.app. Both are operated by Everyday Insight LLC (“we”, “us”).

2. Information the app collects

None.

The app does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Specifically, it does not collect:

This is not just a policy commitment, it is a property of the build. Beyond the optional Apple iCloud sync described in section 3, the app makes no network requests at all: no requests to servers we run, no third-party SDKs, no analytics libraries, no advertising frameworks. There is no server on our side for your data to reach. On Android the app is built without the INTERNET permission, so the operating system will not let it open a network connection even if it tried. The app can open this website in your browser if you tap the privacy or support link and pass the parental gate, but that is your browser making an ordinary page request, and it tells us nothing about you.

3. Game progress and saved data

The app saves your game progress on your device: which levels you have completed, your star ratings, your high scores, how much corn you have earned, and which cosmetics you have unlocked. Your sound, music, haptics and display preferences are saved too.

On Android, saved data stays on that device. There is no cloud sync and no account.

On iPhone and iPad, iCloud sync is optional and entirely under your control. If you are signed in to iCloud, your progress is also synced through your own iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud key-value storage, so starting the game on your iPad picks up where your iPhone left off. If iCloud is off, or you switch it off later, the game keeps working normally and simply saves to that device alone.

This is worth being precise about:

4. Children’s privacy (COPPA and similar laws)

Captain Cluck is suitable for children, and children are most of who it was made for. We take that seriously.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone of any age, including children under 13, because we do not collect personal information from anyone at all. There is no mechanism in the app through which a child could disclose personal information to us, to any third party, or to another player. There are no chat features, no user profiles, no user-generated content, and no social features.

Because no information is ever collected, there is nothing for a parent to review, correct, or request the deletion of. If you have questions about this, please contact us using the details in section 10.

5. Third parties

The app integrates no third-party services. No analytics providers, no advertising networks, no crash reporting services, no social media SDKs, no attribution or measurement partners.

The app stores are the only outside parties involved. Apple and Google operate their respective stores and may collect information when you download or update the app, independently of us. That processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy, not this one. From them we receive only aggregate, anonymized download figures, never information about individual players.

The Android version is built with the Godot Engine, which is open-source software running entirely on your device. It sends nothing anywhere.

6. This website

captaincluck.app is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no tracking pixels, and loads no third-party fonts, scripts or resources. There is nothing on this site to consent to, which is why you were not shown a cookie banner.

As with any web host, Cloudflare processes standard server request data (such as IP address and browser type) in order to deliver the page and protect against attacks. We do not have access to individually identifiable logs and do not use this data for any purpose. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

7. Advertising and tracking

There is no advertising in the app or on this website. We do not track players across apps or websites, and we take no part in any advertising network or data broker arrangement. Since we do not track you, “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals are honored by default. There is nothing to opt out of.

If advertising is ever introduced, this page will be updated first and the change will be described plainly, including what any advertising partner would receive. We would not add advertising to a version of the app already installed without saying so.

8. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA and similar)

Privacy laws such as the EU’s GDPR, the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to its processing.

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, port, or delete, and no processing to object to. We have never sold or shared personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling.

If you wish to remove everything the app has stored about your gameplay, delete the app from your device.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may change. If a future version of the app adds something that requires collecting data, or introduces advertising, we will update this page, change the “last updated” date above, and describe what changed in plain language instead of burying it. Any such change applies going forward only.
